Did you know
• Ron Howard stated in interviews that when he was starring on The Andy Griffith Show (1960) and Happy Days (1974), he felt the impact that he was in a hit series. With this series, he didn't feel it at all.
• Determined not to work for nearly a year, Henry Fonda would film his scenes of the episodes first and the other actors would later film their scenes around it, completing the episodes after Fonda was finished.
• The technique of allowing star Henry Fonda to film his full season of scenes in bulk and later filming the rest of the cast around that footage was previously used with Fred MacMurray on "My Three Sons". Both series were Don Fedderson productions.

Not for everyone
Taking the "PRIMROSE LANE" (Theme Song) From Police Department To Home Front and Back Again. Sorta like giving DRAGNET a more human side.
An excellent effort doomed by seeming aimlessness
