Did you know
• The movie was supposed to be directed by Pietro Germi but he passed away in 1974. Mario Monicelli got on the helm of the movie but on the opening titles it is possible to read "A movie by Pietro Germi" as a tribute to the late director.
• Phillippe Noiret is voiced over by Renzo Montagnani that will play Guido Necchi in Amici Miei Atto II and Amici Miei Atto III.
• Mascetti uses a peculiar way of speaking referred to as "supercazzora" but when quoting the film people uses the spelling "supercazzola". From the movie is not clear enough how Ugo Tognazzi pronounced the word, but in the script and in Amici miei Atto III the correct form appears to be the former (supercazzora). On the same note, Mascetti often uses the made-up verb "brematurare" which is always mistakenly quoted as "prematurare". In the HD version the sound quality is better and Mascetti clearly uses the former spelling (brematurare).
