Did you know

This was the first ever contemporary feature film to be entirely shot in and around the city of Adelaide and its environs since the silent film era.

One of two Australian movies both debuting in 1976 where the then child actor Robert Bettles played a character with a disease or disability. In Let the Balloon Go (1976) his character has poliomyelitis (aka polio and infantile paralysis) whilst in The Fourth Wish (1976) his character has terminal leukaemia.

According to the film's closing credits, the movie's "music [was] played by the augmented University of Adelaide Wind Quintet."
