• Released just prior to Star Wars, which made Harrison Ford a star.

• Ann Dusenberry was almost cast as Laurie Strode in Halloween the following year but the role went to Jamie Lee Curtis. However, PJ Soles, Ann's co-star in this movie, was cast as Lynda, one of Laurie's best friends in Halloween (1978) and Ann won the role of Tina in Jaws 2 instead. Coincidentally, PJ's husband at the time, Dennis Quaid would later star in Jaws 3-D.
