• The name and street address of the toy company on the truck Martin Steckert pulls over is fictionally named after the movie's producers. "Roy's Toys" on "Dalton Street" is an homage to producers Roy Krost and Richard F. Dalton.
• The prop "Metropolitan Police" shoulder flashes on the police uniform worn by Richard Harris are the same ones used on the uniforms in the Police Academy series of movies which were also filmed in Ontario.
