Storyline

Nick Tortelli, "Cheers" barmaid Carla Tortelli's loutish husband, moves to Las Vegas to try to reconcile with his bimbo second wife Loretta, who now lives with her more sensible divorced sister Charlotte and nephew Mark.

Did you know

• After being asked repeatedly for a Cheers (1982) spin-off, the show's producers offered NBC two pitches: one by Ken Estin which involved the Tortelli family; and another by David Angell, which would have been a prequel series set in the 1950s featuring a younger version of Coach Ernie Pantusso during his playing days.

• The main set was re-used as the Bundy home on Married... with Children (1987).

• After the cancellation of the series, Nick and Loretta Tortelli would not be seen again until Nick and Carla's daughter Sarafina's wedding in the Cheers (1982) episode Loathe and Marriage (1993) six years later.
