• According to the NY Times, the film was shot inside the actual Achille Lauro cruiser. She sank in 1994 after an uncontrolled fire incident.
• By the time this aired in 1990, Rebecca Schaeffer had been murdered by a stalker.
• Abu Abbas would remain free until being captured in Iraq by American Soldiers in 2003. He died in 2004. Voyage of Terror: The Achille Lauro affair has not been released widely on anything that came after VHS.
