Did you know
⢠(at around 51 mins) Meg Tilly came up with the line, "Where you gonna go? Where you gonna run? Where you gonna hide? Nowhere."
⢠This was the first movie to be shot with Arriscope anamorphic lenses, which were created for Arri by the German manufacturer Isco-Optic. Cinematographer Bojan Bazelli found their quality "astonishing" during testing, and loved the fact that the images produced were "razor sharp, edge to edge" and with no curvilinear distortion, unlike many anamorphic lenses of the time. The Arriscopes are very large and heavy, with the three longest lenses weighing from 11 to 14 pounds and having built-in carrying handles. In his 2025 memoir, director Abel Ferrara calls them "the size of living room furniture".
⢠Co-writer Stuart Gordon was originally set to direct, but was replaced by Abel Ferrara.
