Did you know
• Although the characters of David Argue, Mary Coustas and Bruce Spence appear to be providing all the voices for the feature film, they are only miming as it was lesser known stars of the original Hercules Returns show that are playing the voice parts. The producers felt the film needed known Australian leads to get anyone interested in a voiceover film.
• Final film of Frank Thring.
• The inspiration for this film, was a live stage show (performed in various local theatres and cinemas), where Australian actors and comics, would stage funny voiceovers, on top of old B-Grade movies. The backdrop for this film, was an old Italian 'sword and sandal' epic from the 1960's named, "Hercules, Samson, Maciste, and Ursus: The Invincibles" (Ercole, Sansone, Maciste E Ursus: Gli Invincibili). Depending on the region, the original 1964 film, was released as "The Great Battle" (Le Grand Defi), "Battle of the Giants" (Combate dei Gigantes), "Triumph of the Giants" (Trionfo dei Gigantes), and also as, "Samson And His Mighty Challenge" (Sansone E La Sua Sfida Potente).
