• The set "Mount Carmel" referring to the Branch Davidians compound outside Waco Texas, was assembled hastily and filmed in Fort Hood Texas, not 20 miles from where the ATF practiced mock raids in preparation for the real raid. Interestingly enough, the film was still being shot when the fatal fire was lit 51 days after the failed raid.
• Phil Penningroth, who wrote the screenplay, has regretted his involvement with this movie in the years since its premiere.
