Did you know
• In addition to his roles as Jason and the Security Guard, Kane Hodder also played Freddy Krueger's arm in the final scene.
• The final shot where Freddy Krueger's glove grabs Jason's mask was meant to be an inside joke, referencing the fact that ideas to put Jason against Freddy from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) had been in the works since 1987. It had first been intended for Friday the 13th: The New Blood (1988), and then Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989), but neither plan materialized. After Jason Takes Manhattan had disappointed at the box office, New Line (owners of the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' series) obtained the rights to the Jason Voorhees character, so a joint project should have been easy to produce. When Wes Craven returned to New Line to make New Nightmare (1994), the cross-over was put on hold, and Jason Goes to Hell produced first. Freddy vs. Jason (2003) ultimately took a long time to come to fruition because of several false starts, management changes and disagreements over the script, so yet another Friday the 13th film (Jason X (2001)) was produced in the interval.
• (at around 1h 18 mins) In the film, just before he handcuffs himself to Jason and a part of immovable furniture, Creighton Duke says "Son of a Bitch, you remember me?". In the final film, this sounds nonsensical. In the audio commentary on the DVD and Blu-ray, it is revealed that the script at one point had it that Jason killed Duke's girlfriend. His backstory initially explained that he was canoeing with his girlfriend in Camp Crystal Lake before Jason emerged from the water and dragged his girlfriend down into the lake. This is what led to his career in the police force, dedicating his life to hunting down Jason for revenge. This was ultimately cut from the film.
