• Amitabh Bachchan had suggested name of Jackie Shroff's name to Rakesh Roshan as he was taking a sabbatical break.

• Shahrukh Khan signed the film because he was told Amitabh Bachchan was doing the film. When Rakesh could not sign Amitabh, Shah Rukh asked Rakesh Roshan if he could leave the film.
