• The title is taken from one of the original titles for Night of the Living Dead (1968), which was "Night of the Flesheaters".

• Together with S. William Hinzman more or less reprising his role from Night of the Living Dead (1968), Vincent D. Survinski reprises his role as Vince, the posse gunman, who shot Ben at the end of the original Night of the Living Dead. Here, he does the same to the two main protagonists, mistaking them for zombies.
