• Sunny Deol was the first choice for the lead role. But once he realized he was not going to get his market price for the film, he started to avoid Raakesh Roshan and not give him a firm no to the film.

• During the shooting of the song " Ghungat Mein Chanda" , Shah Rukh Khan broke his leg. Shahrukh requested Rakesh Roshan to pause that moment in the song and have a flash alert on the screen to tell the viewers saying exactly where he got hurt. The idea was inspired from Amitabh Bachchan getting hurt in Coolie. Rakesh Roshan rejected the idea.
