• When Buaku starts to pass out in episode 4, he starts to mumble the first few lines of The Tale of The Bamboo Cutter; a story about an orphaned supernatural being who is found by and raised as a human. Buaku's story can be considered a much-less idealistic and violent version of this story.
• The name of the squadron's captain is actually pronounced and written as "Britain". However, he was referred to almost exclusively as "Captain Britain", which is a trademarked Marvel Character. Hence the name was changed to Brenten in the subtitled and dubbed version, though the comic kept it as Captain Britain.

Interesting anime that combined humor and action and where the good guys and bad guys are not exactly distinct.
