At a convention in November 2011, a fan of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun (1999) greeted Michael Biehn by addressing him as "Michael McNeil, GDI, Tiberian Sun". Biehn was puzzled by the allusion, having no memory of that role until the fan described Tiberian Sun in greater detail, at which point Biehn, just beginning to remember that role, admitted that the 1990s were a big blur in his memory.

In the GDI opening scene, Kane asks General Solomon rhetorically: "If I am cut, do I not bleed?" Paraphrasing a line from Shylock's monologue in The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare.

EVA stands for Electronic Video Agent; CABAL stands for Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform.
