• After an absence of thirteen years, the show returned to ITV in September 2016. All of the original cast returned, aside from Helen Baxendale, whose character Rachel died in a car accident during series five. The show's creator revealed he had offered Baxendale a return playing Rachel's ghost, but she politely declined.

• Four 90-minute episodes were made and broadcast for the fifth series in 2003 but, for international distribution and the DVD release, they were edited into six episodes of various lengths, causing several plotlines to make no sense.

• On Tuesday, 18th February 2020, ITV announced that the comedy drama will return for a tenth series - but potentially not for a number of years. Series creator and writer Mike Bullen, the production company Big Talk and ITV have all agreed to allow the series to "rest" for a number of years before revisiting the characters at a later point in their lives. Details of the potential length of Cold Feet's break from television screens have not been announced.
