โ€ข Buxton was replaced as host by Robert Q. Lewis for the last thirteen weeks of the series. The replacement was due to Buxton's increasing workload as host of ABC's "Discovery" and because of sagging ratings. The producers felt that Lewis would be a bigger draw but the show ended anyway within thirteen weeks. "Get The Message" was part of a three-show package produced by Goodson-Todman for the ABC morning line-up. The other two shows were hosted by Bill Cullen and Dick Clark. All three were canceled after 39 weeks. Production Assistant Deanne Barkely went on to become a vice-president of NBC-TV in charge of Movies-of-the-Week.
