• The character Felix Hansson was named Pål Hansson in the novel. The name was inspired by Hans Pålsson, a famous pianist and friend of Jacques Werup. When Pålsson got cast in the movie, the character's name was changed.
• Parts of the film, notably the scenes at the Berlin Film Studio and the scene were Elsa is having here picture taken, are shot at old Svenska Biografteaterns filmstudio in Kristianstad, Skåne, Sweden (built in 1908). The old studio is part of Filmmuseum today.
