Did you know
• Richard Donner wanted to make this game into a movie, but quickly gave up on the idea.
• In an attempt to save themselves from bankruptcy. Sega sold the rights to this game to Activision in 2001. This led to the somewhat odd situation of a high profile Sega game being released on consoles not developed by Sega while Sega was still trying to sell the Dreamcast to consumers.
• In the PlayStation Portable port Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars released in 2007, due to being developed by Sniper Studios instead of Sega AM3, signs and references to real-world businesses and chains were removed in order to avoid a patent infringement lawsuit that Sega and its developing division at the time had the license from when they created this game from scratch.
