• Jérémie Elkaïm was 21 years old and Stéphane Rideau was 23 years old when they played the teenagers 'Mathieu' and 'Cédric'. Elkaïm would later play yet another gay teenage character in the series 'You'll Get Over It (2002)' and Rideau would play the aging hustler 'Vassili' in 'Our Paradise (2011)'.
• The movie switches between the summer and the winter plotlines, depicting the differences in Mathieu's (Jérémie Elkaïm) life at both points, as well as establishing the contrast between one and the other visually.
• The story is set in Brittany, a peninsula in the north-west of France, and a traditional homeland of one of the six Celtic nations. The soundtrack reflects this cultural origin using songs by Irish singer and songwriter Perry Blake.
