The theme of American TV Show Hawaii Five-O is played in the film. It appears when Reena Roy is listening to her radio.

The background music of the film was remixed by Andy Votel and included in the International album Hindi Horrorcore,

The music played in the first few seconds of the film ( before the credits) sampled the song "Tubular Bells" more famously known as the Exorcist theme music. The same sound can be heard in the song O Mere Chorni Mere Morni at 2:22 from the film Kaatilon Ke Kaatil. Parts of the title song Gupt and intro of Mushkil Bada Yeh Pyar Hain from Gupt, also took inspiration from Tubular Bells. Akbar Khan recreated the same song as background music in Hadsaa. During the scene when he goes to drop off Smita Patil's car and she invites him inside her house. The keyboard tune heard at 0:18 and 2:17 from song "Gupt" from Gupt was first heard during the intro of the song "Ho Jaayega Loaccha" from Muqaddar Ka Badshah. The original source is "Tubular Bells" from The Exorcist.
