• While attending University of Southern California, in between classes, in order for J.D. Roth to get the job as host of the show, he had to have the show's tagline, and he would stay up late to come up with the show's closing, at the end of each show. He also beat out one other finalist for the role.

• It is considered to be the greatest game show in syndication.

• After two seasons in first-run, five-a-week syndication, the show moved to Saturday mornings the FOX network. This series was kicked off on Friday, 7 September 1990 and followed with a Celebrity Week, 10-15 September. It was canceled 13 April 1991 - the first FOX Kids' show ever to be axed.
