• Film maker J. Om Prakash always chose Laxmikant-Pyarelal for doing music in his movies. For this movie his son-in-law, Rakesh Roshan's brother, Rajesh Roshan composed the music. 'Dushman na kare' went on to become a big hit and attain cult status. It was superbly picturized on an expressiver Smita Patil and charismatic Rajesh Khanna in a special role.
• One of the very few films where Kishore Kumar did not sing for Rajesh Khanna. One song was rendered by Amit Kumar and the other by Mohd Aziz.
• This was the first film of J.Omprakash with Smita Patil and Tina Munium. The second was Aap Ke Saath & Bhagwan Dada respectively.
