Did you know
• There were no standard one-on-one matches with normal rules in the event. All matches were either a battle royal, tag team, triple threat, or a fatal four-way, a rarity for WrestleMania.
• A cage match was planned between Kane (Glenn Jacobs) and X-Pac (Sean Waltman). It was to be the culmination of their established rivalry. But Kane injured his hand weeks before the event. The match was changed to a tag team match with Kane partnering with Rikishi (Solofa Fatu Jr.) and X-Pac partnering with Road Dogg (Brian James), with Kane and Rikishi winning. Had the match taken place it would have been the second cage match in WrestleMania history
• The estate of Tupac Shakur refused to grant the WWF permission to use his track "California Love" as the theme song for this event. Jim Johnston was then asked to create a soundalike version instead, simply called "California". This track was later released on the WWE Anthology album.
