ā¢ The first cast member the director approached was 'Akshay Kumar'. After the narration of the script, Kumar was in tears as he felt the script was a mirror reflection of his own personal life.
ā¢ Juhi Chawla was pregnant whilst shooting, as her pregnancy was becoming more and more visible her scenes were altered for the climax scene by not showing her in the final family reunion scene.
ā¢ There was rumor the director wanted to sign Rekha as Amitabh Bachchan's leading lady, Amitabh confirmed he would not be part of the project if Rekha was signed, so subsequently 'Raakhe Gulzar' signed instead.
