While this film would never get SPCA approval, every animal killed was used in true Inuit fashion; all the meat was consumed, and the skins were put to practical use.

The legend this film is based on ends with the hero killing the brothers who have been tormenting him. Paul Apaq, the writer, rewrote the legend because he felt that a message of hope was needed.
