• Takashi Miike has said that this is the only film that has frightened him as an adult.
• (at around 44 min. into the film) The shot of a woman leaping off the side of a building is a relatively simple combination of careful editing, computer graphics, and stunt work. As director Kiyoshi Kurosawa explained it, a stunt-woman was filmed bungee jumping off the rooftop, followed by a dummy dressed in the same clothes; the two shots were then edited together and the bungee cord was digitally deleted.
• (at around 16 min. into the film) As Kawashima starts going over footage of people in the computer screen, he comes across a bearded man who looks up and stares directly at him. That man is Kiyoshi Kurosawa, writer and director of this film.
