ā¢ Despite being a popular American actor, Delroy Lindo was actually born in London. He was quite surprised when the producers reached out to him about appearing in a British film, set in the 1960s about cricket, but it was something that he immediately recognized and understood.
ā¢ When he presented the film at a private screening at the Cannes Film Festival, Delroy Lindo dedicated the film to his mother who - like the mother character in the movie - was a Jamaican immigrant who moved to the UK.
