Munirah is a widow who decides to marry Ghazal, a nightclub performer. Her brothers oppose this marriage because they covet her wealth. The couple cannot have children. Ghazal decides to adopt a son from his first wife, whom he summons to the house to work as maid, without Munirah's knowledge. However, the second wife discovers her husband's deception and kills the child by poisoning him.
