• When actress Lynda Carter accepted her award for "Superest Super Hero" an announcer (Joe Leahy) stated that an invisible plane was double parked and needed to be moved before it is towed. At this, Lynda went backstage and spun in a circle, with a Wonder Woman double suddenly appearing in her place. This event was the first and only time she had done it since the cancellation of her television series in 1979. No other actress ever stepped into the role until film director Zack Snyder hired Gal Gadot for the production of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) on December 4, 2013.
