Did you know
• As good as it looked, the ending to the Royal Rumble match shown was not planned at all. According to Batista, when he pulled John Cena up to do his Batista Bomb, he pulled him up so furiously that Cena made him stumble and fall out of the ring with him, and it was absolute dumb luck that they both hit the floor at exactly the same time. Also, Vince McMahon tore both of his quadriceps upon entering the ring to sort it out (which would've not occurred had this been part of the storyline and he had stretched beforehand).
• When the Sunday Night Heat match between Maven and Rhyno was aired, the match was plagued with technical difficulties. Because of that, it was not put on the DVD despite being advertised as being on it.
• Vince McMahon tore both his quads during the show. The WWE Chairman came to the ring after the disagreement between the RAW and Smackdown referees on who won the rumble. When he climbed the ring, his knees were caught on the apron. In the process, both his quadriceps muscles were legitimately tore.
