Did you know
• At one point in the documentary there is a dinner party at Auschwitz, where a crowd of Nazis sing a song together. The lyrics are in German and have a quite different meaning than the original song: the (still until today) national anthem of the Netherlands. This anthem is known as the 'Wilhelmus'. Strangely enough, the anthem is about a German who liberated Holland over 500 years ago from the Spanish occupation: Willem of Orange. That is why, in the Dutch original version that is still sung today the first line is "Wilhelmus van Nassaue, ben ik van Duitschen bloed." Translated: "I, Willem of Orange, am of German blood." By the way, during the war the collaborating Dutch did not sing the "Wilhelmus", but a more racial anthem called "Wien Neêrlandsch bloed door d'aderen vloeit" ("Whose Dutch blood runs through their veins").
