• Although most of the action takes place in Sweden, it was decided on the last hour whether the cast and the crew actually can go to Sweden.

• Before going to Sweden, all cast and crew were instructed in Tallinn and in Moscow, how to behave in a foreign country. Aarne Üksküla remembered that it was especially emphasized not to go near to the Estonian House in Stockholm. But he and Einari Koppel deliberately went to look for the House and they managed to find it.

• The end of "Valge Laev" is in stop-frames, because it was filmed on the last day and the crew simply ran out of film.
