• Originally started life as a game for the Sega 32X. a Genesis add-on that gave the system more processing power. When the 32X was discontinued development switched to the more powerful Sony Playstation.
• This game was also to be released on the Sega Saturn using the plans originally for the Sega 32X add-on. Development for the Saturn version, however was ceased.
• In the original game, Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, the antagonists Poly and Ester are an orange two-headed Woolie. Here in Bubsy 3D, they're purple and have their own bodies.
