Did you know
• The show's animated title sequence is partly based on the "DAICON IV Opening Animation," a short film produced in 1983 for the annual Japan Science Fiction Convention by a group of animators who would later found the animation studio Gainax. Specific references include the character Miina's bunny-girl design, shots of trees and grassland covering the earth, a zoom-out shot of the solar system, and the use of Electric Light Orchestra's song "Twilight."
• The "Minna" figurine cost 400,000 yen and Itoh Atsushi accidentally broke one of its ears during a take.
• The businessman that subdues the old drunk in the first episode is 'Takayuki Yamada', the actor who played Atsushi Itoh(Yamada Tsuyoshi)'s character in the movie adaptation of 'Densha Otoko'.
