• The most famous quote in the film is "Cómeme las tetas", said by Carola to Carlos during the sex scene where Hugo Silva sucks Ana de Armas's breasts. "I understand that they went to the movies to see my boobs, but I tried very hard to make them look me in the eye," the actress said later.

• Principal screenwriter of the film is the then minister of Culture of Spain, the socialist Ángeles González Sinde. She is mostly known for her notorious anti-piracy law Ley Sinde which was fully legislated in December 2011. According to the law, P2P file sharing can be given high penalties in court. Some questioned her motivations behind this law, as Sinde was involved with the entertainment industry personally and saw piracy as a conflict of interest. Ironically, this film would eventually become one of the most pirated Spanish films on the internet.

• The movie took 4 years to be made, so a lot of actors were considered and approached to play the roles. According to the directors, Ana de Armas and Hugo Silva stayed with the project from the beginning.
