⢠At the 58m mark, the film's aspect ratio slowly begins to shrink from the standard 2.35:1 widescreen format to a 1.33:1 full frame format, reflecting Enid's deteriorating state of mind. The film snaps back to widescreen format at the 1hr 11m 37s mark, when Frederick North yells "Cut!"
⢠Prano Bailey-Bond said in an interview that she had the idea for Censor around 2012. "I was reading an article about Hammer Horror [the British studio that made the likes of Dracula, The Mummy and Curse of the Wolfman] which looked at how film censors worked in that period. It made me think, 'If violent images are meant to make us lose control, what prevents the censor from doing that?' It was that hypocrisy of thinking, 'I can watch this, but if you watch it you're going to go out and shoot someone'."
⢠Due to a loophole in UK law affecting media, prior to a new Act in 1984 (when the British Board of Film Censors was renamed the British Board of Film Classification) films released on video did not to be certified or censored hence many so-called video nastys were released onto the market causing outrage in various quarters. After 1 September 1985 all video releases also had to comply with the Act and be submitted for classification by the BBFC.

User reviews
A brilliant idea and lead actress wasted on a weak script
Prano Bailey-Bond's visual style is splendid; the plot feels half-baked! [+59%]
The censorship theme is great
