• In the hospital scene after the awards ceremony, Tytus can be seen walking towards a hospital patient who is wheeling an IV drip. This patient is a cameo appearance by Trent Dalton, the author of the book on which this series is based.
• Based on Trent Dalton's semi-biographical book.
• Production was delayed after a SFX malfunction in which fake blood had stained the actors, prosthetics, wardrobe and set. This malfunction ultimately cost a significant amount in order to repair the damage.
