Storyline

• Yun Jin is one of only two self-contained characters in the game (the other is Xin Yan). A Beijing opera-like gong can be heard when attacking back.

• If pet characters such as Paimon and Oz are not counted, Yun Jin is the first character of Genshin Impact with five voice actors (the daily voice is provided by voice actors from China, Japan, Britain, and Korea, and all the narration and arias are dubbed in Chinese by YangYang, a national first-class actor from the Shanghai Jingju Theatre Company). In Yun Jin's animation design, all of Yun Jin's 3D model movements mix Chinese opera's unique movements with traditional martial arts.

• An update in January 2022 for the game Genshin Impact includes a story quest that features a musical number from the character Yun Jin that is in the style of Chinese opera, which went viral as it was the first time many people around the world had heard Chinese opera. Even YangYang, the Chinese voice of Yun Jin during the operas, was surprised about it.
