Actor Jung-woo Ha actually did slip on the slippery pavement while shooting, but kept running anyway. Director Na Hong-jin liked that cut so much that he kept it in the final edit.
ā¢ ''The Chaser'' was based on the true story of Korean serial killer Yoo Young-Chul, who murdered 21 people from 2003 to 2004 including an elderly couple he murdered with a hammer. ''He said he was motivated by his hatred of women and the wealthy, and admitted to eating some of his victims' livers. He was the first person South Korea sentenced to death since 1997,'' it reported.
