• Principal photography began on July 6, 2021 (almost a year before Totally Killer (2023), a similar genre film, was first announced) in Winnipeg, Canada, and ended in August, with cinematography work done by Tony Mirza and Halyna Hutchins before Hutchins worked on her final film, Rust (2024).

• The movie establishes that several branches of a timeline can exist simultaneously, meaning that in the original timeline Lucy disappears and her parents will have lost two daughters on the same date (but in different years) in the same location.

• The movie was delayed because of the SAG-AFTRA strike. As such, the "present" year was changed from 2023 to 2024. However, Lucy still says it's been 20 years since Summer died, even though it's been 21 years.
