Did you know
• Shot in 1966, not released until 1970.
• First time Jane Russell ever made a film in New York.
• Peter Savage, who wrote, directed and stars in the film, grew up with La Motta, Jake and Rocky Graziano on the streets of NYC in the years after the Depression. Graziano's autobiography, "Somebody Up There Likes Me," which was made into a film in 1956 (Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956)) starring Paul Newman and Pier Angeli, may have been the inspiration for Savage to start writing about his and Jake's early lives in "Raging Bull" in 1963, which was made into Raging Bull (1980).
