Did you know

Director Sean Durkin instructed Zac Efron to refrain from crying until the last day of shooting when the final scene of the film was shot, where Kevin Von Erich is finally able to cry for his brothers.

The movie makes it seem that Mike Von Erich only starts wrestling due to David's death and Kerry's amputation. The real Mike actually made his ring debut in 1983 before both events.

In the scene where Kevin, Fritz, and Kevin's sons watch Kerry win the WWF Intercontinental championship on TV, the real match is shown briefly and the real Kerry Von Erich (Nicknamed the Texas Tornado in the WWF at the time) can be seen in the ring.
