• Cast members Carrie-Anne Moss and Steven Roy have been married in real life since November 1999. The couple previously worked together as actors in Confessions of an Action Star (2005) and The Matrix Resurrections (2021).

• Writer and director Lowell Dean wrote the script for this movie before the release of his cult favorite Wolfcop (2014) but could not find financing until Telefilm Canada provided funding for the film based on a revised draft, almost a decade after the initial draft of the script. In May 2023, it was announced that Carrie-Anne Moss, Douglas Smith, and Frank Grillo were cast in the film.

• Douglas Smith's name was on a list of actors considered for the role of Ethan. When Carrie-Anne Moss saw the list, she put in a good word for him, having worked with him previously in Treading Water (2013) and The Bye Bye Man (2017). This helped Smith to get an offer for the role.
