Did you know
• When Mario and Luigi are left in charge of the Mushroom Kingdom, they battle threats within that get checked off a map with a Mario flag. The music, power ups, and threats themselves represent different worlds from Super Mario Bros. 3 (1988) including Water Land, Big Land, Sky Land, Ive Land, and Pipe Land.
• The enemies that Princess Peach and Toad encounter at the gravity casino are Wart, Mouser, Birdo and Clawgrip, all bosses from Super Mario Bros. 2 (1988). Peach battles Wart by grabbing a vegetable and throwing it into his mouth, which is exactly the way that he had to be defeated in the game.
• The giant dragon monster that Bowser Jr's paintbrush creates near the end of the film is the dragon boss from Super Mario Odyssey (2017).
