Mad God: Part 1
MAD GOD is an experimental animated film set in a Miltonesque world of monsters, mad scientists, and warpigs. Directed by legendary visual effects and stop-motion craftsman Phil Tippett, the sets, creatures, and spirit of the film are, in every way, independent and straight from the heart. Sometimes that heart is bursting with love for the craft - other times it's macabre, punctured, and bleeding. MAD GOD is a mature film crafted from techniques & technology that spans the history of cinema and the darkly creative psyche of animation mastermind Phil Tippett.

• Begun as a 'garage' stop-motion project in the 1990's, MAD GOD was resurrected in 2009 when a team of animators at Tippett Studio discovered Phil's old footage and became impassioned by its sincerity and stark, laborious style. On volunteered nights and weekends, this next generation of filmmakers gathered under Phil's direction to breathe new life into his dark, incredible masterpiece. This makes Phil Tippett's MAD GOD nearly 25 years in the making.
• MadGod is mostly funded by a wildly successful fund-raising campaign through the micro-donation site Kickstarter. The Kickstarter raised more than $120,000 - more than triple the initial goal.
