• As part of a traditional blood drive, each person that would donate blood at specific locations during specific times would receive a free ticket to see this film. This started on October 10, 2017 and ran until October 25, 2017.

• Clues to the twist ending (the fact that the "Tuck's Pig Farm" games that Anna, Mitch, Ryan, Carly, and Logan participate in actually occurred in 2003) are given throughout the film: When Anna, Mitch, Ryan, Carly, and Logan are participating in the games, nobody acknowledges that Jigsaw is responsible for the games. In past films, such as Saw II (2005) and Saw V (2008), participants would acknowledge that Jigsaw is responsible for their situation. Furthermore, when Anna and Ryan meet John Kramer they do not acknowledge the fact that he is supposed to be dead.
