• In the book, Q and his friends find Margo in an abandoned general store in Agloe, NY. Margo gets very angry at Lacey, insults Ben, and tells Q she didn't really want him to come look for her. Quentin sticks around even though his friends go to a motel. He and Margo connect after a screaming match and kiss. Margo asks Q to go with her to NY, but Q says no. They promise to write and call each other, and then they go their separate ways. In the movie, Q finds her alone by accident. She is not nearly as angry at him; she even buys him a milkshake.
