• David Silverman was originally supposed to direct the film and the film was just going to focus on the animated Pink Panther Character. However Jeff Fowler replaced him as director and the film is actually going to focus on both The Pink Panther animated character and Inspector Clouseau.
• Omar Sy is rumored and in talks to star in this movie alongside Eddie Murphy. Omar in an rare interview said that Eddie Murphy is one of his favorite actors and wants to work with him in a future movie together.
